Son Mike and I at Christmas '05 College buddies forever at UO Duck football game, fall '06 Father's Day
| MY BACKGROUNDBorn and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, I grew up in a time when life was less complicated and there were only two television channels! My father played in the National Hockey League with the Chicago BlackHawks for 10 seasons; their team won the Stanley Cup which to all Canadians is the summit of athletic prowess. My mother was a Missouri State championship swimmer so my background is rooted in athletics and traveling between family visits in Canada and the U.S. I had one sister, 7 years older and my life was filled with participating in school athletics, junior golf tournaments and forging close, life-long friendships. I came to the University of Oregon in Eugene in 60's (the movie "Animal House" was filmed at the U of O and depicted this era) where the student population was a third of what it is today and a lot of the kids were from California; in fact, there were t-shirts that said "The University of California at Eugene". I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-TV/Speech/Communications. I married an Oregonian and decided this was my permanent home so I should obtain my American citizenship. I raised two sons, went to hundreds of basketball, football, baseball and soccer games during their upbringing and worked in the community: 3 years at a radio station, 8 years at the U of O (administrative assistant), 3 years office manager for the Lane County Commissioners, 2 years selling word processors, 2 years selling insurance, 2 years selling collection programs, 4 years as an independent cosmetologist, then for the past 17 years as a real estate broker. I have lived a fascinating life, filled with tremendous blessings. Each step has given me more skills, more insights and more compassion. My slogan "Lo Knows Real Estate" was given to me by a past client who told me she had never met anyone with such a passion for her occupation. I make it a point to make a difference in people's lives; buying and selling real estate is the most important financial decision that most people make. I am a professional, an advisor, a consultant, a mentor and a friend. My belief in God guides my entire life and the Golden Rule is what I live by."
